Hello again, my beauty friend! And welcome to my December 2020 natural beauty empties! What a year was 2020. It goes without saying that it’s been hugely challenging. Like many, I’ve found it helpful to try and focus on the positives. We’ve learned more about ourselves in 2020 than any other year, discovering just how strong and resilient we are. Life might not be exactly as we want it to be, but we can embrace what we do have. Time with friends and family is limited, but the limitation is reducing the spread of the virus. And it won’t last forever. Gratitude turns what we have into enough. – Anonymous 2020, you helped me to scale back my expectations; to celebrate the little moments of calm and reflection. And I really appreciated the extra time I had for self-care and wellness activities. Yet, I am so very glad to move…

Hello, dear friend! And welcome to my November 2020 natural beauty empties. November has been a really busy month for me on my blog. My skincare is the same, and you’ll find this in my November empties. There’s a skin-saving repair lotion, beautiful smoothing bakuchiol serum, gentle shea moisturiser that works in any routine across all seasons, plus lots more. Welcome back, beauty lover! And welcome to my September 2020 natural beauty empties. September has been a whirlwind of trying new natural beauty products and reviewing them. Somehow, I managed to find time to use up many fantastic clean beauty products, too. My favourites this month include a divine facial oil, hand therapy cream, pore refining acid wash, and anti-bac hand sanitiser. For the littles, there’s a gorgeous skin-friendly baby balm. I hope you enjoy my September empties! September 2020 natural beauty empties Antipodes Divine Face Oil This facial oil truly lives up to its name. I had it sitting on my shelf for a while after featuring it in my 2018 natural beauty stocking fillers. But once I tried it again, I couldn’t get enough! Impressively, it claims to boost the skin’s natural production of collagen and elastin by up to 51%. Essential fatty acids keep skin strong while…

Hi beauty lovers! Have you heard of Plastic Free July? Plastic Free July is a movement to reduce the amount of plastic waste we produce. The challenge is to refuse single use plastics in July. As a family, we are mindful of the impact of our plastic waste and have been reducing single use plastics for some time. But there’s still huge room for improvement. The most offending single use plastics we still use as a family are without a doubt wet wipes and disposable nappies. I know how harmful they are for the environment, but sometimes getting through life with little kids seems more important. Can you relate? How does this help you? Maybe you’re in the same position as me. We can’t promise a plastic free July, but we can make a start implementing some changes for life. This is what it’s all about! …The truth is that…

Welcome back, beauty lover! And welcome to my June 2020 natural beauty empties. What a month June was for content on my blog. I used up quite a few skincare products, too. June was about oils – 2 well-loved facial oils, plus a lash oil. I used up 2 day moisturisers, an Ayurvedic body wash, herbal conditioner, healing balm, and even a soothing aromatherapy candle! Plenty for the littles too, including a gentle dragon fruit children’s conditioner, soothing coconut scalp cream, and creamy calendula body wash. Are you ready to learn more about them? Let’s go! June 2020 natural beauty empties Beauty Cleanse Skincare Mean Green Superfood Drops Mean Green Superfood Drops by Beauty Cleanse Skincare is my star empty this month. It’s a potent serum-in-oil that restores tired, dull skin to its velvety best. What I love about this oil is its versatility – I use it for face,…

To my dear Jonah, Happy birthday, my little son. You’re not so little anymore, because now you are 4! I hope that one day you can enjoy reading our letters to you – it’s funny how the small things slip from our memories. We want to treasure it all. You have come so far in just a year, and we’ve learned more about you than any other year. Your personality and quirks are really showing, our wonderfully different Jonah! Because of the coronavirus epidemic, we spend our days in a little bubble at home – we play, go for long walks, have slow lunches, and watch too much telly. And we won’t be spending your fourth birthday as we imagined we would – a big party with a bouncy castle and all of your nursery friends. Instead we’re having a humble get together at your grandma Heather’s house, with just…

Do you love neroli skin care products? Me too! Neroli is uplifting, romantic and calming. Perfect for post lockdown emotional support. And so many natural beauty bloggers love neroli skin care too! One of my favourite memories as a young girl was sitting under my mum’s mock orange tree in the garden, listening to the bees buzzing around the fragrant blooms. When mock orange (aka “Philadelphus Virginalis”) is about to blossom, my thoughts turn to neroli (aka Bitter Orange, “Citrus Aurantium”). My favourite way to enjoy the benefits of neroli is in skin care. My favourite place to shop them? LoveLula of course! So this post is all about neroli – what it is, neroli skin care benefits, and my roundup of blogger neroli skin care favourites. What is neroli in skincare? Neroli in beauty care is created by adding neroli essential oil or hydrosol to skin and hair care…

Welcome back, beauty lover! And welcome to my May 2020 natural beauty empties! May has been a good month for empties. I have loved them all – well, except for one – you’ll see which. There’s an amazing anti-ageing face cream with ingredients that read from your superfood store-cupboard, sumptuous cleansing butter with carrot and mango, a gentle vitamin C serum that’s great for beginners, and a body lotion that promises to boost emotional wellbeing – and much more! I really hope you enjoy them! Are you ready? Let’s begin! Natural beauty empties Tamaar Rejuvenate Anti-Ageing Cream Complex This is one of my favourite moisturisers – my skin really loves it. And I adore the ingredients, including date palm, tamarind seed, turmeric, green tea, gotu kola, and kefir milk probiotics. Head over to my full review of…

Welcome back, beauty friend! And welcome to my April 2020 natural beauty empties. April was a great month for empties! I had chance to use up many more products because my husband is working from home and I have a little bit more time in the morning. Coronavirus lockdown – there are some benefits. Not only that, but I’ve been shopping my stash every week. This month I wanted to focus on using up my sample collection. The ultimate goal is to reduce the number of these little sachets coming in. Sample sachets are a terrible waste of packaging – there are better ways to get samples! So, future thinking applied. But a lot of my samples were running out of date, and I didn’t want to waste them. So I’ve been living like I’m on holiday, with lots of variety – it’s been fun! I also have lots of…

Here are my March 2020 natural beauty empties. Another month of empties, and how much life has changed since my last empties post. In the light of the Coronavirus pandemic, my post about skincare empties seems trivial, but I’m finding solace in my skincare and carrying on my blog as normal. And you know what? Taking care of my skin is still incredibly important to me! It’s pretty much my rock. In March, I used up hydrating day cream, silky tinted lip balm, a zesty lemon hand smoothie for sore hands, tea tree balm, and lemongrass & chamomile soap. Enjoy! Natural beauty empties Lumen Vitae Ray of Light Day Cream I was kindly sent Ray of Light Day Cream and others in the Lumen Vitae range to try. This soothing cream took me no time to use up – I loved it. It’s hydrating and calming, perfect for wearing in…
